Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
All we ask is that you sign up to our service for a
minimum of 1 year. After that you may cancel at any time.
Is there a limit on the amount of content I am
allowed?
We do not put a limit on the amount of textual and
image content on your website. However, we do strongly suggest you keep the
number of section pages to a maximum of six to keep the menu structure neat and
efficient. You may include audio samples (MP3, Realplayer etc.) up to a maximum
of 1.5Mb on our standard solution. Files above this size are charged at 25p per
Mb per month.
How can I personalise my MusicProfiles website?
Apart from editing and incorporating your own distinctive content, we will ensure that your website (where applicable) will have your chosen colour scheme, your specified menu and page structure and the title bar will carry your name and any other appropriate information.
How do I submit content material?
We are happy to receive material by email and
convential post. Click here for full contact details.
You can submit material for your website as follows:
TEXT Email - There is no charge for any
submissions made by email. Files may be plain or rich text formats (including
Word) . Post - We charge a flat rate of £10 for manual input of
handwritten or typed manuscripts. There is no charge for submissions on disc
(floppy, zip and cd rom).
IMAGES Email - There is no charge for any
submissions made by email. All standard file formats are accepted. Images should generally be presented at 72dpi and should not exceed 500 pixels square. If you need help, please ask and we will be happy to help. Mail: someone@musicprofiles.co.uk Post - We charge a flat rate of
£5 for the preparation of conventional photographs and prints. There is
no charge for submissions on disc (floppy, zip and CD rom).
AUDIO Email - There is no charge for any
submissions made by email. All standard file formats are accepted. Please
remember, you may include audio samples up to a maximum of 1.5Mb on our
standard solution. Files above this size are charged at 25p per Mb per
month. Post - We accept submissions by CD, minidisc, DAT, zip, floppy disc
and cassette. There is no charge for submissions made by CD, zip and floppy
disc. For all other formats we charge a flat rate of £5 for the
preparation of audio samples. PLEASE NOTE: We regret that we cannot
return any material sent to us by post.
What is my domain name?
Subscribers to our standard solution will be able to
choose from one of the following domain names:
www.musicprofiles.co.uk/yourname
www.musicprofiles.net/yourname www.musicteachers.co.uk/yourname
Can I use my own personal domain name?
Yes. You have 3 choices:
1. You can make your domain name forward to your
MusicProfiles web address. This is a standard service offered by most ISPs.
2. You can host your domain name on our server for an additional charge of
£3 per month 3. If you provide us with access details you can host
your MusicProfiles website on server space of your choice. We will carry out
all updates and optional annual design changes in the normal way. This service
carries an additional charge of £1 per month.
In all of these cases you would have 2 URLs for your
MusicProfiles website - our default address (see above) and your own domain
name.
How and when do I pay?
Payment for all services on our standard solution are
made by monthly direct debit. Flat rate submission charges incurred for
preparation of special material are collected by direct debit in the first
month. Additional special services relating to domain names hosting
requirements will be added to the monthly direct debit.
How do I keep my website up-to-date?
Once your website has been published you will be
placed on a quarterly update schedule. We will contact you every 3 months and
remind you to submit any amendments and new material. Updates outside this
schedule will incur a flat rate charge of £10. PLEASE NOTE: All new
material may be subject to the usual flat rate charges as described above.
