The British Clavichord Society encourages the
understanding and enjoyment of the clavichord. It promotes recitals, workshops
and lectures on the history, construction and repertoire of the instrument.
Musica Antica a Magnano is an association founded in
1986 to promote a festival offering the public an opportunity to hear
historically informed performances of early music on original instruments. The
Festival concerts are held in August and part of September in either a
12th-century church or in the town's 18th-century church which also houses an
organ built in 1794 by Giovanni Bruna and restored by Italo Marzi.
An international magazine for the clavichord. Published
twice yearly in The Netherlands, this magazine is aimed at both the expert and
the amateur. Most articles are in English, with occasional contributions in
French and German. The topics include composers, repertoire, building,
reproduction of unpublished music and reviews of new music and CD's. Also
included are notices of current events as well as reports from the clavichord
societies in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Switzerland
and the Netherlands.
A charitable trust based at Finchcocks, Goudhurst, Kent,
which houses Richard Burnett's extensive collection of historical keyboard
instruments.
